Corey

Corey Adams - B. AppSc + M.Physio - MAPA

Looking for a physio who understands what it’s like when an injury or soreness keeps you from your weekend activities?

Meet Corey! As both a clinician and an enthusiastic AFL supporter (you’ll often find him cheering on the Sydney Swans), he knows that getting you back in action isn’t just about fixing the problem—it’s about returning to what you love for the long game!

Corey has developed particular expertise in head and neck complaints and knee niggles, making him your go-to physio for those frustrating sports injuries that just won’t quit. He doesn’t just treat the symptoms; he works with you to understand what is going and build a recovery plan that fits your real life.

When he’s not in the clinic, you might spot Corey putting his own body to the test at the gym, or unwinding with friends over a skinny latte or a well-earned beer. His approach to physiotherapy mirrors his approach to life—balanced, practical, and focused on what matters to you. Whether you’re dealing with post-match soreness or a more complex injury, Corey combines clinical expertise with a genuine understanding of what it means to get back to your best.

After all, sidelines are for spectators, not for you!

I am stoked to be able to join the awesome team here at Inform Physio Care and be the first Bendigo home grown local!

Having grown up playing AFL football and Basketball here in Bendigo and abroad, I have developed a passion for people on the field / court. I pursued my interest in Strength and Conditioning by studying an Exercise Science Degree and Strength and Conditioning. I love to keep people active and strong throughout their life for as long as possible – keeping you doing what you love to do best!

I studied both my Exercise Science degree and Physiotherapy degree here in Bendigo with a brief stint exploring what the USA had to offer for a young Bendigo man.

Experience:

I have 4 years of undergraduate experience in Physio areas both in the hospital and in private practice, being able to meet an amazing amount of people of all walks of life.

I’m grateful to have worked as a strength coach for 5 years now, being able to carry out my passion for getting people strong in preparation for their sport AND life.

Key Interests:

Physio

I have a keen interest in all thing’s musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a desire to keep learning and providing the best care to all my clients in order for them to kick their goals – there will something new to try at every turn!

Nothing gets me more excited than seeing my clients kick their goals and live the happiest, most active life they can!

I love working with active individuals with an interest in hitting their gym and maximising their strength, whether it be for sport or for life!

Personal

I am very passionate about the gym and challenging myself to become the strongest person I can be both physically and mentally. I am an amateur powerlifter, with the goal of competing more in the future.

I am a HUGE basketball and AFL fan, so when I’m not working you can probably catch me kicking the footy, shooting hoops at the local court or watching my favourite code on the TV.

My favourite AFL team is Richmond and my favourite NBA team is the LA Lakers!

Being the third Physio here at Inform Physio Care to have grown up in a rural setting, I have always had a connection to sport which allows me to understand the vital role that sport plays in both rural and regional communities. My massive passion for treating sporting injuries stems from this connection and my own participation in team and solo sports. I studied here in Bendigo at LaTrobe University and we have started setting ourselves up to be Bendigo “locals” with our first house purchase!

Experience

Since graduating from La Trobe University Bendigo in 2018, I have worked solely in private practice, managing a heavy sporting and musculoskeletal caseload.

My post graduate education includes:

  • Dry needling
  • DMA Clinical Pilates
  • ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning
  • Level 1 Sports Physiotherapy
  • Level 1 WLS Women’s Health.

Key Interests:

Personal

I am a super keen runner myself! Clinically, I am able to draw on these personal running and injury experiences and I always feel a great sense of joy when I get to help my patients back to the things they love best. If I’m not out running, you might find me at the pool or at the tennis courts.

Outside of working activities, I enjoy cooking up a frenzy of delicious food for my family and friends and I am the proud owner of a beautiful golden retriever who loves to eat anything he can lay his eyes on!

Physio

My Physio love is to see people with Running Injuries, keep on the track and stay on the track in a sustainable way. Running is such a passion of mine that I like to see everybody being able to enjoy it as much as I do.

Learning, both professionally and from the simple conversations with the amazing Inform Physio Care patients is something I am lucky enough to do on a daily basis and very much value this opportunity.

Other special interest areas of mine include post-surgical rehabilitation and fracture management.

Jordy

Jorden (Jordy) Burke – B.PHys + MAPA

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Charles Sturt University in 2005, I have amassed in excess of 10 years of rich Physiotherapy experience, almost exclusively in the sports and private practice musculoskeletal field, through having fantastic mentors to guide and shape my practice.

I relished the opportunity to gather VFL football level experience with Bendigo’s VFL side of 2 years, gaining a vast array of specific injury knowledge and treatment options and further understanding of the pressures associated with high level sporting pursuits. He continues to maintain close ties to his network of specialist Physiotherapists, coaches and Sports Physicians. Being heavily involved in BendigoHealth’s Shoulder Pain Assessment Clinic, gave me a rich understanding of shoulder pathology and allowing me to translate this into something meaningful and understandable for his patients.

I enjoy the continual shift in what is best Physiotherapy practice and keep my assessments, management plans and advice up to date by actively following relevant journals and specific experts in the field of Physiotherapy. I love treating and have a special interest in shoulders and running injuries and have developed two thorough assessments from my professional development activities to ensure that you get the results you want.

As a former footballer, but now keen runner, gym enthusiast and water skier, I have definitely had my fair share of injuries and I directly understand through this experience, what is needed to get you back to your best and how major a part of tackling strength has a huge part to play in symptom resolution as well as future bullet-proofing and prevention.

And that makes three of us! I too hail from a small regional centre on the Murray River at Barmah, 30 min from Echuca, on a family-owned dairy/cropping farm. My brothers and I attended primary school in Nathalia and secondary school in Echuca.

My husband Michael and I, with our 3 kids in tow, moved to Bendigo 3 years ago for a change of scenery and recently added a start-up business to the mix in the form of Farm Irrigation, which has also taken off!

During my downtime I enjoy craftwork, reading or Netflix and spending time with my fantastic family. I also play hockey (LOVE Hockey!) with a local Bendigo club (Eaglehawk HC) as well as support our local NorthWest Lightning Hockey team.

I am a qualified massage therapist of 10 years and ran my business from home, which proved handy whilst raising our young family.

I am really excited to be on board at Inform Physio Care – I’m looking forward to meeting all of you soon and adding to the experience you all know and love!
